Swedish Minister visits Counterpoints Arts

On 8th March we were delighted to host a visit by Alice Bah Kuhnke, the Swedish government minister for Culture and Democracy.

The Minister explained something of the situation in Sweden, where more refugees per capita have been accepted than in any other EU Country.

Led by our Co-Director, √Āine O’Brien, the Counterpoints Arts team outlined some of our approaches to the arts and integration and then invited presentations from the artist Juan del Gado, journalist Ismail Einashe, researcher Alice Sachrajda and Alina Muller, Policy Officer from Migrant Rights Network.

The Minster’s visit was facilitated by the Swedish Embassy in London and comes following a Learning Lab in 2015 run in colloboration with Swedish social enterprise collective¬†Livstycket.

We look forward to continuing the discussions and exploring the possibilities for further collaboration and exchange.
